A Simsboro woman is facing multiple theft charges after reportedly stealing after $127,000 from her employer.

According to an arrest report for Jacqueline Pridgett, 46, 165 Fellowship Ext., Simsboro, a local medical doctor filed a complaint with the West Monroe Police Department on June 13.

The doctor told officers she had promoted Pridgett to the position of office manager approximately four years ago, which gave Pridgett the authority to manage her finances and sign authorized checks.

According to the report, the doctor recently learned Pridgett took, without authorization, approximately $27,000 from her over the past four years. She presented officers with documentation to corroborate her findings.

She also said Pridgett used her identity to open numerous accounts and charge more than $100,000.

The affidavit states that in a previous report made to the sheriff’s office, Pridgett told officers she committed the offense. She repeated that statement to WMPD on Thursday.

Pridgett was booked into OCC Thursday on charges of theft and identity theft. Bond was set at $45,000.

The suspect has bonded out.
