Woman charged with selling $270,000 of stolen dentistry items online.
FEB 2024 • PITTSTON, PA • Police have filed charges against a woman they say made nearly $270,000 by selling stolen dentistry items online.
Police said they received a report in Sep 2023 claiming that an employee may had been involved in stealing items from their business, Bright Solutions LLC.
According to the affidavit, an employee, Kathy Lucarino, had been utilizing the business account to sell items that required a license, which she did not have. She had reportedly been using their business account to print labels for addresses in California.
A search warrant for those intercepted packages to California revealed that several dental products had matched the inventory at Bright Solutions.
In an interview with police, Lucarino reportedly stated she knew what she did was wrong and offered to pay the business. When asked why she was selling the products for her own profit, Lucarino said she was facing bankruptcy.
In total, around $269,000 was stolen, police said, from March 2018 to Sept. 2023.
